William (Bill) Phillips
MANAGING PARTNER
William Phillips is a global medical technology executive and healthcare investor with more than 30 years of experience leading growth, market development, and P&L across medical devices and healthcare services. He currently serves as Chief Commercial Officer at Terumo Neuro, a leader in neuroendovascular technologies for stroke and complex cerebrovascular disease.
In 2023, William founded Alruna Advisors, an investment and advisory firm focused on early-stage and start-up companies in healthcare, healthy lifestyle consumer packaged goods, and healthcare services. Through Alruna Advisors, he has evaluated over 600 companies across healthcare, cybersecurity, generative AI, consumer products, and medical devices, and completed multiple equity investments alongside private equity and venture capital partners.
William previously held senior commercial and general management roles at Abbott, Boston Scientific, and STERIS, integrating acquisitions and scaling global businesses. He has served as CEO, corporate and industry board member, and strategic advisor, bringing a combination of operating experience, global perspective, and governance discipline to boards and management teams. He is certified by the Board of Director Training Institute in Japan and completed the corporate governance executive program at The Wharton School, strengthening his boardroom effectiveness and oversight capabilities.
